Recognition for achieving a Game-Changer in Mill Safety
Bradken regularly recognises and rewards the contribution our people make when providing safer solutions for our customers through product and service innovations.
The Bradken Customer Safety Award recognises an individual or team responsible for a product, service or initiative that has significantly improved safety for our customers.
This year two of our employees, Craig Faulkner - Principal Product Manager, and Michael Gray - Engineering Team Lead, received this award for a project they developed which supports the removal of people from inside a mill, creating a safer work environment during mill liner installations.
Their work in adapting Bradken's MillSafe™ Bolting System and other supporting products (spray backing and mill liner removal tools) to work with RME's Skyway system was recognised.
Bradken's MillSafe™ Bolting System and supporting solutions are focused on removing people from inside a mill and creating a safer workplace for mining customers via automation of the mill relining process.
"Winning this award is something we can all be proud of. It is recognition of the extraordinary work in developing innovative solutions that contribute toward keeping our teams and customers safe at work. Safety starts with each of us, being safe is who we are and what we do." - Craig
"I am very grateful to receive this award in recognition for the work Craig and I have completed and would also like to thank many others within Bradken who have helped contribute to this project. It has been very fulfilling to work on a project that has such a strong focus on customer safety and I would like to congratulate the other winners and nominees for their commitment to safety." - Michael
